Ingredients
- 1 pound smoked sausage (kielbasa)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion
- 6 medium potatoes
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 32 ounces chicken stock, or enough to cover potatoes
- 1 cup milk
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make creamed potatoes and smoked sausage
-
Step 1Slice kielbasa..chop onion Place sausage, onion, and oil in a large skillet. Sauté for a few minutes, until onion begins to soften. Peel potatoes and cut into bite-sized pieces.
-
Step 2Add potatoes to skillet. Add stock (use water if you don't have stock handy). Cover and simmer until potatoes are done. (How long this will take depends on how small you considered "bite-sized." Smaller dice will of course be done quicker. Allow about 15-20 min. but be flexible.) In a small bowl, make a paste of flour and milk. Stir into potatoes and sausage. Cook over medium heat until thickened.

Step 3I just serve this with a tossed salad, and nice crusty bread..
