How to Make Codfish Cakes and Baked Beans


  1. To freshened fish, soak in warm water for several hours, changing water three times.
    When ready to prepare recipe, simmer in fresh water until fish will flake easily.
  2. Cook potatoes and mash together with codfish.
    Add other ingredients.
    Mix well. Shape into patties and fry in 1/4" oil in fry pan. (best if you can use a cast iron frypan)
