    mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 2 tsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • REMAINING INGREDIENTS

  • 5 OR 6 medium
    potatoes,about 4 cups, peel, cook, & cube
  • 1 c
    celery, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c
    sweet onion, chopped
  • 1/3 c
    radishes, sliced
  • 1/3 c
    green bell peppers, diced
  • 1/4 c
    sweet pickle relish
  • 2 large
    eggs, hard-boiled and mashed

How to Make Classic SOUTHERN Potato Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, salt, celery seeds, sugar, and pepper in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients; toss gently to combine well. Cover; chill for 2 or more hours for best flavor. Garnish with tomato wedges if desired.
