Ingredients

1 pt
ground clams
1 small
grated onion
1 c
sliced potatoes
2 c
liquid clam broth and milk
2 Tbsp
butter
2 Tbsp
flour
buttered breadcrumbs
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Clams Aground ~ Sam Whites

Step-by-Step

  • 1Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Simmer clams in own juice a few minutes until tender. Drain and reserve liquid.
  • 2White sauce:
    Melt butter, add flour, blend. Add clam liquid and enough milk to make 2 cups. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add potatoes, onion, and clams. Put in casserole and cover with breadcrumbs.
    Place in pre-heated 350 df oven and bake for 30 minutes.
