Ingredients

  • 1 pint ground clams
  • 1 small grated onion
  • 1 cup sliced potatoes
  • 2 cups liquid clam broth and milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • - buttered breadcrumbs
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make clams aground ~ sam whites

  • Step 1
    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Simmer clams in own juice a few minutes until tender. Drain and reserve liquid.
  • Step 2
    White sauce: Melt butter, add flour, blend. Add clam liquid and enough milk to make 2 cups. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add potatoes, onion, and clams. Put in casserole and cover with breadcrumbs. Place in pre-heated 350 df oven and bake for 30 minutes.
