Ingredients
- 4 pounds russet potatoes, scrubbed, peeled and sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make cheesy tasty scallop potatoes

Step 1Secure a glass 13 x 9 pan. Grease thoroughly with butter or pan spray.

Step 2In a medium saucepan, melt butter on medium heat. Once melted, add in flour slowly and whisk until flour has melted and is incorporated, about 3 minutes cooking out the flour.

Step 3Pour in the milk and whisk continually until it thickens. Once it thickens, whisk in the cheese. If you need more milk, pour another splash in. Turn burner to low heat.

Step 4Scrub and peel potatoes. Slice them 1/4” thick. Lay them in a layer in your greased 13 x 9 pan.

Step 5Salt and or pepper your potatoes, then add your other layer of potatoes. Salt and or pepper again.

Step 6Preheat 375 degrees F.

Step 7Pour cheese sauce over potatoes and cover with foil.

Step 8Bake for 45 minutes then remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 9Pull it out of the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
