cheesy scalloped potatoes

This makes a good side dish for any meal!

Ingredients

  • 6-8 medium potatoes-peeled & sliced thin
  • 1 medium onion-chopped
  • 8 slices cheese slices
  • - salt
  • - pepper
  • 1 1/4 cups milk-heated
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

How To Make cheesy scalloped potatoes

  • Step 1
    grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle a few onions on the bottom of pan...adding a layer of potatoes, sprinkling with salt & pepper. After layering half the potatoes. Sprinkle with half the onions. Lay cheese slices over top. Layer the second layer of potatoes (sprinkling salt & pepper to season) Sprinkle remaining onions over the top.
  • Step 3
    Heat milk to boiling (I use the microwave). Add the cream of mushroom soup...blending together well. Pour over potatoes.
  • Step 4
    Cover tightly with foil. Bake in 350' oven for 1 hour. Uncover foil, and continue to bake another 30 minutes.
