This is a recipe my friend and I made up one cold winter day just for fun! Everyone loves this comforting dish and asks for the recipe whenever I take it to a potluck or summer cookout.

Ingredients

  • 10-12 large red or yellow potatoes cubed
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1/4 large red or green pepper diced
  • 2 sticks celery with leaves diced
  • 1/3 cup green olives sliced
  • 1/2 pound cooked breakfast sausage crumbles
  • 1/2 cup ham cubes
  • 1/2 pound swiss cheese cubed
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 pound velveeta cheese cubed
  • 1 cup colby cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon basil
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk

How To Make cheesy sausage and ham potatoes with olives

  • Step 1
    Cut potatoes into cubes. Place in cold water and bring to a boil, cook for 5 minutes. Drain well. Warm sausage and ham in butter add onions, pepper, and celery. Saute 5 minutes. Add flour stirring constantly. Add milk gradually. Remove from heat. Pace potatoes into a large buttered baking dish. Add other ingredients. Stir well. Pour over sausage and milk mixture. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden brown on top.
