This is a great recipe from my friend, Molley. It's an easy and delicious side dish, with a hearty flavor. It goes well with beef, chicken and pork. You can alter spices to suit your family's taste. I've experimented with chives, rosemary, and tarragon, as well.

Ingredients For cheesy potatoes

  • 6
    potatoes
  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 c
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 3 slice
    cooked bacon

How To Make cheesy potatoes

    Boil potatoes in salted water until tender.

    Place potatoes in 13 x 9 baking dish. Slice into cubes with sharp knife.

    Pour melted butter or margarine over potatoes.

    Season with garlic, salt and pepper.

    Top with grated cheese and crumbled bacon.

    Bake at 350 degrees for thirty minutes, or until browned and bubbly.
