I made this recipe up when I was a full time working mom with 2 small girls & a wife with little time to cook. My husband & girls who've grown up & my aunt loves this& when I take it somewhere the pan is always empty when I come home. ....This is a Southernism Recipe which means you can use any amount of required ingredients you need to make the amount of food you need.I grew up cooking this way never used recipes until after I got married.

How To Make cheesey potato casserole

Step 1

Prepare cream potatoes ready to eat. Put half in bottom of casserole dish,You want them about an inch& a half deep. Slice hot dogs in bite size rounds as many as you like & put on top of potatoes put other half of cream potatoes on top of weiners about an inch deep. Put about half an inch of shredded Cheddar cheese on top. Put in oven or microwave long enough to melt cheese. I usually make enough to fill an 8 inch square baking dish leaving out hot dogs in 1/4 of pan cause I do not eat hot dogs. I do like just cream tators & melted cheese.
