Ingredients

  • 3 large baking potatoes
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 5 TO 6 - slices of bacon, cooked crisp
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces (2 cups) grated cheddar cheese
  • - garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup butter

How To Make cheesed potatoes in foil

  • Step 1
    PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES. SLICE POTATOES INTO 1/4 INCH PIECES ONTO FOIL. SPRINKLE WITH SALT AND PEPPER. CRUMBLE BACON OVER TOP AND ADD ONION, CHEESE AND GARLIC POWDER. ADD SLICES OF BUTTER OVER THE TOP OF EACH PACKET.
  • Step 2
    BRING EDGES OF FOIL UP, LEAVING SPACE FOR EXPANSION OF STEAM, SEAL WELL WITH DOUBLE FOLD.
  • Step 3
    BAKE FOR 1 HOUR. IF DESIRED, MAY BE COOKED ON THE GRILL.
