How to Make Cheese Scalloped Potatoes
- Heat until hot in saucepan over low heat: 1 1/4 cup milk
- Meanwhile prepare 2 cups grated cheese, 1/4 cup chopped onion (optional), 6 medium potatoes, scrubbed, thinly sliced, 3 TBSP butter, 2 TBSP flour
- Make 3 layers in lightly buttered 9x13 pan and pour hot milk over all; potato slices, lightly salted, onion, butter (dotted over surface), flour (sprinkle evenly), cheese. Cover and bake for 1 hour at 375* or till potatoes are tender. Garnish if desired with parsley, chives and paprika
