cheese potatoes
(1 RATING)
My Mom used to make these potatoes for potlucks and I was always disappointed that there were no leftovers to bring home. But finally I got the recipe from her and my family loves them as much as I do!

Ingredients
- 2 cups milk, whole
- 2/3 cup cheez whiz
- 4 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 stick real butter
- 1 package frozen orieda hashbrown potatoes
How To Make cheese potatoes
-
Step 1Melt milk, cheez whiz, shredded cheese, and butter in a saucepan on low heat and stirring constantly until cheese and butter are melted.
-
Step 2Pour hashbrowns into a well greased GLASS 9x13 inch pan (for some reason this recipe will not turn out well in a metal pan, weird, I know but true). Pour the cheese mixture on top of potatoes, do not stir!
-
Step 3Let set in fridge overnight (or I have made in the morning for supper and it's worked fine). Bake at 350* for 45-60 min. Until bubbly and a bit browned on top.
-
Step 4*** Just an FYI this is delicious with chopped ham or polish sausage in it. I mix the meat up with potatoes and pour the cheese mixture on top and it's good to go
