Ingredients

  • 1 can 13 3/4 can chicken or beef broth
  • 5 - medium potatoes
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked crispy
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz)

How To Make cheese and bacon potato bake

  • Step 1
    Over medium heat bring broth to a boil...reduce heat
  • Step 2
    Add potatoes and onion cover and simmer for 5 minutes then drain reserving 1 1/2 cups of broth remove from heat
  • Step 3
    Cook bacon to crisp stage and pour out all but 3 Tablespoons of drippings
  • Step 4
    Blend flour into reserved drippings..slowly add reserved broth and cook over medium heat, constantly stirring until thickened..pour over cheese until melted
  • Step 5
    in greased 2 qt baking dish layer 1/3 each ...potato and onion mixture sauce and bacon repeat twice
  • Step 6
    Bake 400 degrees for 35 minutes
