I must admit, I have never tried these. I am not a sweet potato, or yams fan; but I shared this recipe with a good friend, and she swears by them. She won't use any other recipe..this recipe came from my " The Best Slow Cooker Cookbook Ever".. I know a crock pot comes in handy when preparing big holiday dinners, and is why I am sharing this. My friend says you can't go wrong with these, she says they are absolutely delicious.

Notes from the book: These yams are a yummy addition to holiday meals. Use yams with a vivid sweet orange flesh, because they cook up to a much moister texture than pale sweet potatoes, which can end up dry and crumbly.
