  • 1
    egg, fork beaten with a little milk
  • 2 slice
    toast, crumbled
  • 1 slice
    cheddar or processed cheese
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • ·
    garlic powder to taste

How to Make Breakfast Baked Potatoes


  1. Scrub potatoes, but do not peel.
  2. Slice lengthwise into fourths.
  3. Butter a shallow microwave-safe baking dish.
  4. Dip potato slices first into the egg, then into the crumbs to coat.
  5. Place the slices in the baking dish.
  6. Top with any remaining crumbs.
  7. Dot with a tablespoon of butter, if desired.
  8. Microbake on 100% power 3-5 minutes, or until potato is tender and batter is set.
  9. If desired, top with the slice of cheese and microwave 1 minute more to melt.
  10. Sprinkle with seasonings.
