This is a family and friends favorite. Sounds like a lot to do, but it really is very easy! You can do this without bourbon. It's just for extra flavor, so it is kid friendly. Enjoy!! This will be a staple at your Thanksgiving table as it is in ours.

sweet potatoes
1/2 c
butter or margarine
1/2 c
1/3 c
orange juice
1/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
apple pie spice
1 c
maple syrup
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
clove, ground
1/4 c

How to Make Bourbon Sweet Potatoes


  • 1Scrub potatoes. Cook, covered in boiling salted water, until tender. Drain, cool and peel under cold running water.Mash in a bowl.
  • 2Add Butter/margarine, bourbon, oj,brown sugar,salt, apple pie spice, maple syrup,nutmeg,clove,sugar and mix together.Beat until smooth.
  • 3pour into a baking dish. Sprinkle hazelnuts or pecans or mini marshmellows on top.
  • 4Bake at 350 degrees for 45 mins. or until lightly browned.
