This is a family and friends favorite. Sounds like a lot to do, but it really is very easy! You can do this without bourbon. It's just for extra flavor, so it is kid friendly. Enjoy!! This will be a staple at your Thanksgiving table as it is in ours.

Ingredients
- 4 pounds sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon clove, ground
- 1/4 cup sugar
How To Make bourbon sweet potatoes

Step 1Scrub potatoes. Cook, covered in boiling salted water, until tender. Drain, cool and peel under cold running water.Mash in a bowl.

Step 2Add Butter/margarine, bourbon, oj,brown sugar,salt, apple pie spice, maple syrup,nutmeg,clove,sugar and mix together.Beat until smooth.

Step 3pour into a baking dish. Sprinkle hazelnuts or pecans or mini marshmellows on top.

Step 4Bake at 350 degrees for 45 mins. or until lightly browned.
