Ingredients
- 3 pounds sweet potatoes
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/3 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1 pinch salt
How To Make bourbon candied sweet potatoes

Step 1Place sweet potatoes, cut into quarters, in a large saucepan; cover with cold water. Bring to a boil. reduce heat; simmer 10-15 minutes or until potatoes are cooked through but still offer a bit of resistance when pierced with a fork. Drain. When cool enough to handle peal and cut into 1- inch chunks.

Step 2Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a roasting pan with 1 Tbsp. butter. Add sweet potatoes in a single layer.

Step 3Melt 5 Tbsp. butter and 1 cup dark brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in apple cider, bourbon and the salt; cook 1 minute. drizzle over sweet potatoes; toss gently to coat. Roast 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes or until sweet potatoes are very tender and liquid is syrupy.
