Ingredients

  • 10 - beer bratwurst sausage links
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 medium red potatoes, diced
  • 1 - 24 oz. cans pork & beans, undrained
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons basil, dried
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 cans beer, your favorite (regular or non alcoholic)
  • 2 teaspoons tabasco or your favorite hot sauce
  • - salt & pepper, to taste
  • SERVE WITH YOUR CHOICE:
  • 1 pound pasta of choice
  • 2 cups rice, white or brown

How To Make beer brat casserole

  • Step 1
    Cut bratwrust into 1/4" pieces. Fry with oil & garlic in large sauce pan.
  • Step 2
    When meat is almost done add onions, green peppers, potatoes & pork & beans. Cook at strong simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add cumin, basil, salt, pepper & hot sauce. Lightly simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add beer, bring to a hard simmer, then lower heat to a simmer. Cover the pan & cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
    It is your choice to use pasta or rice. Cook as per directions on package. Spoon pasta in soup bowl then cover with Bratwrust Delight.
