Ingredients

  • 10 - potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon lawry's seasoning salt
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup real bacon bits

How To Make baked potato casserole

  • Step 1
Boil potatoes until tender in salted water with the butter added. Drain well.
  • Step 2
Beat potatoes with mixer, adding cream cheese and sour cream until fluffy.
  • Step 3
    Season with remaining ingredients.
  • Step 4
Place in a buttered casserole dish.
  • Step 5
Sprinkle with green onions, bacon bits, and shredded cheese. ( I always stir a little of each of these items into the casserole before topping with them.
  • Step 6
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. You may refrigerate overnight before baking. It will take longer to bake, but the flavors have time to soak into the potatoes.
