Ingredients
- 10 - potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon lawry's seasoning salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup real bacon bits
How To Make baked potato casserole
-
Step 1Boil potatoes until tender in salted water with the butter added. Drain well.
-
Step 2Beat potatoes with mixer, adding cream cheese and sour cream until fluffy.
-
Step 3Season with remaining ingredients.
-
Step 4Place in a buttered casserole dish.
-
Step 5Sprinkle with green onions, bacon bits, and shredded cheese. ( I always stir a little of each of these items into the casserole before topping with them.
-
Step 6Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. You may refrigerate overnight before baking. It will take longer to bake, but the flavors have time to soak into the potatoes.
