Ingredients

  • 10
    potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 bunch
    green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    lawry's seasoning salt
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz
    sour cream
  • 8 oz
    cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 c
    real bacon bits

How to Make Baked Potato Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Boil potatoes until tender in salted water with the butter added. Drain well.
  2. Beat potatoes with mixer, adding cream cheese and sour cream until fluffy.
  3. Season with remaining ingredients.
  4. Place in a buttered casserole dish.
  5. Sprinkle with green onions, bacon bits, and shredded cheese. ( I always stir a little of each of these items into the casserole before topping with them.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. You may refrigerate overnight before baking. It will take longer to bake, but the flavors have time to soak into the potatoes.
