When our kids were teenagers, we hosted an Easter Breakfast in our backyard each year after sunrise mass. One year there were 60 people! This recipe was a big hit.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 2# - bag frozen hash-browns
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 - 8oz - container sour cream
  • 1/3 cup grated onion
  • 1 cup cornflake crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons margarine, melted

How To Make baked hashbrowns

  • Step 1
    Cover greased 9x13 baking pan with frozen hash-browns. Combine soup, margarine (stick), cheese, sour cream and onion in saucepan. Heat until blended.
  • Step 2
    Pour over hash-browns. Combine cornflake crumbs with melted margarine (2T). Spread cornflake mixture on top of hash-brown mixture.
  • Step 3
    Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and continue to bake for an additional 15 minutes until brown on top.
