When our kids were teenagers, we hosted an Easter Breakfast in our backyard each year after sunrise mass. One year there were 60 people! This recipe was a big hit.

    bag frozen hash-browns
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 stick
  • 1 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 - 8oz
    container sour cream
  • 1/3 c
    grated onion
  • 1 c
    cornflake crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp
    margarine, melted

How to Make Baked Hashbrowns


  1. Cover greased 9x13 baking pan with frozen hash-browns. Combine soup, margarine (stick), cheese, sour cream and onion in saucepan. Heat until blended.
  2. Pour over hash-browns. Combine cornflake crumbs with melted margarine (2T). Spread cornflake mixture on top of hash-brown mixture.
  3. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and continue to bake for an additional 15 minutes until brown on top.
