Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked crisp & diced
  • 2 large onions, diced
  • 5 large baking potatoes, chopped into cubes
  • 3/4 pound cheddar cheese, shredded
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 sticks butter, cut into pieces
  • GARNISH:
  • 6 scallions, sliced
  • sour cream

How To Make bacon cheese potatoes

  • Step 1
    Line crock pot with reynolds slow cooker liner.
  • Step 2
    Layer 1/2 each of the bacon, onions, potatoes & cheese in crock pot. Season with salt, pepper & garlic powder & dot with 1 stick butter.
  • Step 3
    Repeat layers of bacon, onions, potatoes & cheese. Dot with other stick butter. Cover with foil.
  • Step 4
    Cover & cook on LOW for 10 - 12 hours.
  • Step 5
    When serving, top off with a dollop of sour cream & scallions! Mmmmmmmmmmmm!
  • Step 6
    NOTES: Double the recipe if you are expecting company. Great to serve for a brunch! If you would like to make these in the oven -- 400 degrees F. for 1 hour in a 9" x 13" greased baking dish, covered.
