Tried this to put a twist on plain, old fries.

Ingredients

  • 12 slices hickory smoked bacon
  • 3 pounds frozen french fries
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups milk, 2%
  • 2 cups mild cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make bacon cheddar fries

  • Step 1
    Cook bacon according to directions. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    While fries are cooking, (we prefer to bake the fries) in medium sauce pan, melt butter, add flour and seasonings, mix well.
  • Step 3
    Remove from heat and stir in milk
  • Step 4
    Add cheese and stir until well blended.
  • Step 5
    Pour over fries and top with crumbled bacon.
