Ingredients
- 7-8 medium potatoes
- 3 cups milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 8 ounces shredded mild cheddar cheese
How To Make au gratin potatoes

Step 1Peel potatoes and slice into thin rounds. Layer in a 9x13 glass baking dish.

Step 2Melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Add flour and stir until blended. Add milk, stirring until it is beginning to thicken. Add salt, pepper and paprika.

Step 3Add shredded cheddar to mix. Stir until the cheese has completely melted and mixture is smooth and thickened.

Step 4Pour over potatoes and place in a 350 degree preheated oven. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top and potatoes are cooked through.
