How to Make Au Gratin Potatoes
- Peel potatoes and slice into thin rounds. Layer in a 9x13 glass baking dish.
- Melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Add flour and stir until blended. Add milk, stirring until it is beginning to thicken. Add salt, pepper and paprika.
- Add shredded cheddar to mix. Stir until the cheese has completely melted and mixture is smooth and thickened.
- Pour over potatoes and place in a 350 degree preheated oven. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top and potatoes are cooked through.
