arizona potatoes

Got this recipe years ago from my friend, Margie. Not sure why it's called Arizona Potatoes. But I do know that it has become a staple at all of our parties. It's made the day before and then placed in the oven the day of the party. Nothing dietetic about this one as you'll see from the ingredients, which would explain why it's soooooooo good.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb packages hash brown potatoes
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 2 cups crushed corn flakes

How To Make arizona potatoes

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, mix together the sour cream, soup, cheese and onions.
  • Step 2
    Add the potatoes and mix well.
  • Step 3
    Place in a 9 x 13 inch pan and refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 4
    Before baking, combine the corn flakes and melted butter. Spread over the top of the potatoes.
  • Step 5
    Bake in a 350 degree oven for approximately 1 hour.
