alpler magrone (macaroni with bacon)
I initially posted this on another site for a world tour game. From A Taste of Switzerland by Sue Style. Times are approximate and do not include time for cooking the macaroni and potatoes.

Ingredients
- 10 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked
- 1 pound potatoes, sliced and cooked
- 5 ounces bacon, chopped
- 7 ounces cream
- - salt and pepper, to taste
- - nutmeg, to taste
- 3 ounces sbrinz cheese or swiss cheese, grated
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make alpler magrone (macaroni with bacon)

Step 1Saute bacon until crisp.

Step 2Add cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Step 3Mix in macaroni and potatoes.

Step 4Layer into a baking dish.

Step 5Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 10 minutes at 350F.

Step 6Meanwhile saute onion in butter until golden.

Step 7Serve sprinkled with the onion.
