1 potato/2 potato & sausage

I thought of this recipe when there wasn't that much in the house to cook. Boy, it really turned out good.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bulk sausage, browned and broken
  • 1/2 can evaporated milk
  • 2-3 - thinly sliced white potatoes
  • 1-2 - thinly slice sweet potatoes
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How To Make 1 potato/2 potato & sausage

  • Step 1
    Mix flour and salt together. Cover bottom of casserole dish with sliced potatoes. sprinkle with half of the flour and salt. Put undiluted soup on top in dollops, layer with sausage. Put sweet potatoes over all. (Doesn't need to cover entirely).
  • Step 2
    Cover with foil. Bake in 350° oven for about 1 hour. Pour evaporated milk over all, cover and bake another hour or until potatoes are tender. Serve with a salad and enjoy.
  • Step 3
    You could add any other veggies or flavors you like to this recipe. Mushrooms? Rosemary? Acorn squash?
