Messed around with the mac n cheese and kinda fumbled into this one. Was always trying for that gooy goodness. After I made this one My kids forbid any other mac n cheese be cooked in my house. Seriously. Kraft was easy but this is a good one so much better and ya know what's in it over that fake orange stuff. Its the gooy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 8 ounces velveeta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 ounces shredded cheddar cheese (@2 cups)
  • 6 ounces shredded mozzarella
  • 3 1/2 cups milk, whole
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 - egg
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (ie tabsco , louisiana crystal or your favorite kind)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make you got the goo mac n cheese.

  • Step 1
    Cook macaroni as directed on box
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven 350° Grease 10x 13" baking dish
  • Step 3
    Drain macaroni place immediately into bowl with cut up Velveeta and butter. Stir until Velveeta is melted
  • Step 4
    Stir in cheddar and mozzarella. Mix well
  • Step 5
    In medium bowl whisk milk sour cream egg salt pepper and Tabasco. Pour over Mac n cheese mix well
  • Step 6
    Pour into prepared dish
  • Step 7
    Bake 350° for 45 minutes or until top is golden brown
  • Step 8
    Remove from oven and allow to rest 10 minutes or so before serving
