tiger macaroni and cheese

I created some brand new and delicious recipes with tiger sauce. This first recipe is a macaroni and cheese, filled with banana peppers, green peas, and tiger sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 4 tablespoons tiger sauce, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded colby jack cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 3 - banana peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup crushed salad croutons

How To Make tiger macaroni and cheese

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Coat the bottom and sides of a 13- x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Step 3
    Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
  • Step 4
    Melt margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat. Gradually whisk in flour; cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute.
  • Step 5
    Gradually whisk in heavy cream, half and half and 3 tablespoons tiger sauce until smooth; cook whisking constantly, 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • Step 6
    Whisk in cheeses and black pepper until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in peas, chopped banana peppers and cooked macaroni.
  • Step 7
    Pour macaroni mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle in crushed salad croutons.
  • Step 8
    Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle with remaining tiger sauce.
