My brother was stationed in Germany and brought this German noodle recipe home. I think this tastes better heated up the second day.

You will need a Spaetzle maker (can be found on line) or a round cake pan with 1/2 inch holes drilled in it works too.

How to Make Spaetzle

  1. Mix ingredients together and let sit for 2 to 3 hours in refrigerator before cooking.
  2. Bring 8 cups of water to a boil in large pan. Place the pan with holes over the water as it begins to boil. (you can purchase a Spaetzle maker. I found them on line)
  3. Pour batter over the holes, scraping the batter over the holes until batter falls through holes and into water.
  4. Let noodles boil for 3 minutes and remove from water. Put some butter on them and serve.
