sour cream & chive noodles

This recipe came from a packaged version that my mom used to buy when I was little. I loved the flavors, but I guess they don't make it anymore. I'm pretty sure that my homemade version is way better than that packaged kind! Picture isn't the greatest, because I thought about it after I put the food away after dinner. Hope you try it! It was really good!

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon seasoning salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 8 ounces medium egg noodles

How To Make sour cream & chive noodles

  • Step 1
    Cook noodles according to package directions.
  • Step 2
    While cooking noodles, add butter & garlic to a saucepan over medium heat, cook until fragrant, stirring constantly (do not burn!).
  • Step 3
    Add seasoning salt & pepper.
  • Step 4
    Add chunked cream cheese,stirring constantly to melt(add a splash of milk if needed). Reduce heat to low.When melted , add chives & sour cream. Cover while straining noodles.
  • Step 5
    Toss with noodles. serve immediately!
