simply, a great macaroni and cheese
Saw this in a local newspaper, which was having a contest for 'best mac and cheese' recipes. This one looked so simple that I could not believe it would be any good....was I wrong! The original was topped with cooked sausage links, but this is a great stand-alone dish.

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni
- 4 cups whole milk
- 8 ounces extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
How To Make simply, a great macaroni and cheese

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2In the oven, in a large casserole dish, melt the butter.

Step 3Remove, coat the uncooked macaroni with the butter, adding salt and pepper.

Step 4Add milk and cheese. Mix.

Step 5Bake 45-50 minutes.
