Ingredients
- 1 pound elbow macaroni, cooked
- 1 pound colby cheese
- 1 pound velvetta cheese
- 2 - eggs
- 2 tablespoons self rising flour
- 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1 cup milk, 1%
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
How To Make sassy's homemade mac and cheese
-
Step 1First place a stock pot with 3 cups of water on the stove on hi. Put a pinch of salt in the water and wait for the water to bowl. (pinch of salt stops macaroni from sticking) While waiting on the water to bowl, you can cut up your cheese into block squares. After you cut up the cheese put it aside until needed. Add macaroni to the boiling water and stir frequently.
-
Step 2After macaroni is done, strain the water off the macaroni and sit it in the sink until needed. In the same stock pot, return the pot back on the stove. Add milk, butter and flour into the pot and stir until it's disolved. Next add cheese and beaten eggs, into the pot. Allow the mixture to heat up and stir constantly. Place burner on medium hi so you will not burn your mixture. When the cheese is 75% melted remove mixture from burner.
-
Step 3Get your baking pan and add the macaroni in the pan. On top of the macaroni pour over the cheese sauce and stir until fully covered. Add salt and pepper (or season to taste) and stir until fully mixed. Place in oven on 375 for 30-45 minutes. (or till it's to your desired color) After it's done cooking, pull it out of your oven and let it stand for 5 minutes before serving. It would be best to use a spatula to serve the dish.. ENJOY!!!
