quick and easy mac & cheese

My son loves Macaroni and Cheese. I was trying to get away from the boxed kind but find a quick way to make it for him when I came across this recipe, although I've made some of my own alterations. Use Any kind of cheese you like, you can even stir in left over spaghetti sauce for something different.

Ingredients

  • 375 grams dry macaroni noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • - salt, to taste

How To Make quick and easy mac & cheese

  • Step 1
    Boil pasta according to package directions in salted water
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, whisk sour cream and milk together in a bowl. Add flour and spices (except salt) and stir until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Return drained pasta to pot and four sour cream mixture over noodles. Set over medium-low heat and stir until well combined and sauce is thickened and coats the back of a spoon.
  • Step 4
    Add cheese ad stir until melted. Add salt if necessary.
