3 cpkg. penne rigate pasta
1/2 cpesto (i buy the jar of pesto at grocery store)
1/2 ccup shredded sharpe cheese or any cheese you desire. some people use feta.
1/2 croasted red peppers in a jar
How to Make Pesto Pasta
- Make It
COOK pasta as directed on package, omitting salt. Drain; return to pan. STIR in cheese. (I use shredded cheddar).
ADD pesto and peppers; cook and stir on low heat 3 to 5 min. or until heated through.
- Special Extra
Add 2 cups grilled chicken strips or chopped rotisserie chicken with the pesto and peppers. (I only add chicken when I am not making this for my son).
This pasta dish, which also tastes great cold, makes a great salad to serve as part of your brown-bag lunch.
