pennsylvania dutch brown butter noodles
In Pennsylvania Dutch communities, this is a very simple (yet classic) side dish that's usually served alongside roasts, fried chicken, baked ham, or pan-fried pork chops. To remain true to Pennsylvania Dutch custom, you should place a generous scoop of fresh cottage cheese on top of the noodles and then top the cottage cheese with a bit (a teaspoonful or so) of apple butter.
