Ingredients

  • FOR THE PESTO
  • 3 cups cilantro
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup american grana cheese grated
  • salt and pepper
  • FOR THE PASTA
  • 8 ounces pasta of choice
  • shredded american grana cheese for garnish

How To Make pasta with cilantro pesto & american grana

  • Step 1
    For the Pesto Place the cilantro, pine nuts, zest, juice, garlic and olive oil in food processor.
  • Step 2
    Process until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the cheese and taste to adjust for salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Cook the pasta in boiling salted water and drain. Stir the cilantro pesto into the warm pasta. Serve immediately topped with more cheese.
