Ingredients

  • FOR THE PESTO

  • 3 c
    cilantro
  • 1/4 c
    pine nuts
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 1 tsp
    lemon zest
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 3 clove
    garlic
  • 1/4 c
    american grana cheese grated
  • ·
    salt and pepper
  • FOR THE PASTA

  • 8 oz
    pasta of choice
  • ·
    shredded american grana cheese for garnish

How to Make Pasta with Cilantro Pesto & American Grana

Step-by-Step

  1. For the Pesto
    Place the cilantro, pine nuts, zest, juice, garlic and olive oil in food processor.
  2. Process until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Stir in the cheese and taste to adjust for salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water and drain. Stir the cilantro pesto into the warm pasta. Serve immediately topped with more cheese.
