Noodles Romanoff is a delicious side dish that goes well with just about any entree. My version is easy and fast to fix, and people will think you put a lot more effort into this dish than you did! It is made with the wide egg noodles and an easy, creamy, sour cream and parmesan sauce. Betcha can't eat just one helping! Enjoy!
Photos are my own. The recipe is from an old pasta cookbook.
Cook the egg noodles and prepare according to the package directions. Drain, return to the pot and keep hot while you make the sauce. Add the 1 tablespoon of butter to the noodles and cover with a lid.
In a small bowl mix the 1 cup of sour cream, 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 2 tablespoons chopped green onions and 1 teaspoon minced garlic. Mix thoroughly.
Combine the sauce with the hot cooked noodles and toss gently.
Sprinkle with reserved 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve. Enjoy!
Serve with any entree for a delicious meal!
Here is how it looks. Enjoy!
