Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 large - eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 3 drops - hot sauce
  • 16 ounces cooked elbow macaroni

How To Make my mom's baked macaroni and cheese

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in pot. Add flour and stir until well blended. Reserve 2 tablespoons of milk to mix with the eggs. Pour the remaining milk into the butter/flour mixture, gradually stirring constantly. Cook until smooth.
  • Step 2
    Pour egg/milk mixture into butter/flour mixture; then add cheese and stir until melted.
  • Step 3
    Add worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.
  • Step 4
    Put macaroni in a 1 1/2 qt. casserole dish. Pour sauce mixture over macaroni.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 minutes.
