My Mac and Cheese

I am always looking for ways to save a buck. I know a lot of people already have a recipe like this up their sleeve, but for those who do not...this is one can be yours!
Ingredients

1 1/2 cuncooked elbow macaroni
-
1 cmilk
-
2 Tbspmargarine
-
2 Tbspflour
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1/4 tspfresh ground pepper
-
1/2 tspdried ground mustard
-
3/4 ccheddar cheese, shredded
-
1/2 tsponion powder
How to Make My Mac and Cheese
- Prepare macaroni as directed on package.
- As the pasta cooks prepare cheese sauce. In a small bowl combine flour and spices and set aside.
- In a medium sauce pan on low heat melt the margarine and then slowly sprinkle in flour mixture and stir to combine cooking for 2-3 min to cook out the raw flour flavor.
- Slowly add milk, whisking constantly until mixture comes to a boil, let boil for 1 min.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese until smooth.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain pasta. Add warm pasta to cheese mix to combine. Use reserved pasta water to thin out to your liking if necessary.
