Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 3 tablespoons each butter and flour
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 1 cup frozen peas
- salt pepper and a pinch of nutmeg
How To Make mozzarella spaghetti with peas & bacon

Step 1Place foil on a baking sheet. Lay the bacon out on the foil and bake in 350 degree oven until crisp. Remove and chop into pieces.

Step 2Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until el dente. Add the peas in about the last 5 minutes and drain.

Step 3In a sauce pan add the butter and let melt. Whisk in the flour and cook until browned about 5 minutes. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream. Stir in the lemon zest . Stir in the Mozzarella cheese.

Step 4Once the cheese melts stir bacon. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Add the nutmeg. Stir in the spaghetti and peas and serve immediately.
