Ingredients
- 16 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1 pound cheddar cheese, grated
- 8 ounces monterey jack cheese with jalapeno peppers, grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 stick butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 5 ounces evaporated milk
How To Make macaroni and cheese casserole

Step 1Boil macaroni in salted water, al dente (about 6 minutes). Drain, do not rinse.

Step 2Add butter and cream cheese, 8 ounces grated cheddar cheese, and grated pepper jack cheese. Combine until cheeses are melted.

Step 3Combine salt, pepper, dry mustard into a beaten egg. Temper the egg by adding a teaspoon of the hot mixture to the egg and stirring. Add to the macaroni mixture.

Step 4Pour into a greased casserole dish. Pour the evaporated milk of the casserole and let soak in. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
