2 c
uncooked elbow macaroni
1/4 c
margarine or butter
1/4 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp
1/4 tsp
ground mustard (dry)
1/4 tsp
worcestershire sauce
2 c
2 c
sharp cheddar cheese (shredded or cubed)

How to Make Mac and Cheese


  • 1Heat over to 350
  • 2cook macaroni as directed on package
  • 3melt butter (or Margarine) in 3 qaurt saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, mustard and worcestershire sauce. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat. stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minuute. Stir in cheese. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted
  • 4Drain macaroni. Gently stir in macaroni into cheese sauce. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole dish. Baked uncovered 20-25 minutes or until bubbly
