This is always a family favorite. It is a variation of my Grandma's baked macaroni & cheese that I've perfected over the years. Everyone asks me to make it for any family gathering & I thought I'd share the love. :)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni noodles
  • 16 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
  • 16 ounces cottage cheese, small curd
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 8 ounces monterey jack cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 large eggs

How To Make joslyn's baked mac & cheese

  • Step 1
    Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 2 quart baking pan with non stick spray.
  • Step 2
    Cook macaroni noodles according to package directions. While noodles are cooking, beat the 2 eggs in a small bowl until well mixed. In a large bowl mix the cheddar, sour cream, cottage cheese, salt, pepper, & sugar until well mixed. Fold in the eggs.
  • Step 3
    When noodles are done, drain well and fold into the cheese mixture. Pour into prepared pan and top with the monterey jack cheese. Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes. Top should be lightly browned & bubbly. Enjoy!
