I created this new mac and cheese recipe with first-ever honey margarine. It's so delicious!

Ingredients

  • HONEY MARGARINE
  • 2 1/2 sticks margarine, melted
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • MACARONI AND CHEESE
  • 1 cup shaved Parmesan cheese
  • 16 ounces dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon sweet and tangy seasoning
  • 8 ounces mild cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 ounces Colby Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

How To Make honey margarine macaroni and cheese

  • Step 1
    Whisk melted margarine and honey together in a small bowl until combined.
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Step 3
    Lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add shaved Parmesan cheese and spread out evenly.
  • Step 4
    Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon honey margarine and macaroni and cook until al dente for 8 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Drain and return to the pot. Add 1 tablespoon honey margarine; stir well for 30 seconds. Set aside.
  • Step 6
    In a large bowl, mix the heavy cream, milk, eggs, 2 tablespoons honey margarine and sweet and tangy seasoning together until fully combined.
  • Step 7
    In a separate bowl, combine the shredded mild cheddar, colby jack, and Parmesan cheese and 2 tablespoons honey margarine; mix well.
  • Step 8
    Layer 1/2 the macaroni in a prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers.
  • Step 9
    Pour the milk mixture over the top and add the remaining honey margarine. Mix evenly.
  • Step 10
    Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
