Turmeric has been touted lately as a very healthy ingredient. I found this in a Greek recipe book in the library, took a picture with my phone. Decided to clear out my old photos and found this. Don't remember the title of the book :(

  • 1 tsp
  • 1 lb
    orzo pasta, uncooked
  • 1/2 c
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    parsley, finely minced
  • 1/8 c
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    capers, drained
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 c
    sun dried tomatoes, julienned
  • 1/2 c
    kalamata olives, chopped
  • 1 c
    feta cheese, crumbled

How to Make Golden Orzo with Greek Dressing


  1. Bring salted water to a boil. Add turmeric and orzo. Cook for 10 minutes, or until done, drain and rinse orzo. Place in serving bowl and let cool slightly while mixing dressing.
  2. Combine other ingredients except olives, tomatoes and feta. Whisk together until oil is emulsified.
  3. Add olives, tomatoes. Stir to combine. Sprinkle feta on top before serving. Can be chilled or served at room temperature.
