angel hair pasta with garlic parmesan mushrooms

I created a fourth recipe in my garlic Parmesan series. It combines mushrooms and angel hair pasta and it's A+ with side of garlic Parmesan wings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 pound angel hair pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 ounces shiitake mushrooms, stemmed and sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt mixed with black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cans cheddar cheese soup
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 1 bottle garlic Parmesan sauce
  • 1 cup shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese

How To Make angel hair pasta with garlic parmesan mushrooms

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Coat the bottom and sides of a 8-inch casserole dish with cooking spray. Add 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese.
  • Step 3
    Cook angel hair pasta according to package directions; drain.
  • Step 4
    Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add cremini and shiitake mushrooms and chopped garlic; saute for 5 minutes until browned and tender. Season with sea salt/black pepper and remaining shredded Parmesan cheese.

    Reduced to low heat abd stir in heavy cream, cheddar cheese soup, half and half and garlic Parmesan sauce. Let it simmer for 8 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Step 6
    Add cooked angel hair pasta; mix together until combined.
  • Step 7
    Pour into a prepared casserole dish. Top with shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese.
  • Step 8
    Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly. Cool completely.
