Easy Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese

Karen Phillips

I got this recipe for Mac and Cheese in a crockpot from a good friend of mine (she can't remember where she got it from) whose name happens to be Karen too. It's a great, quick dish that you could doctor up with your add ins to make a one pot dinner or leave it alone for a side dish with hardly any prep at all. I make it all the time and my family loves it

1 lb pkg
elbow macaroni
1 lb
velveeta cheese
1 lb
shredded cheddar cheese
1 stick
2 c

1Boil macaroni as directed. Drain but do not rinse.
2While macaroni is cooking cut the Velveeta into small cubes.
3Return macaroni to the pan and add Velveeta, Cheddar cheese and butter. Stir until cheeses and butter are melted. Stir in milk after cheeses and butter are melted. I use kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper to season.
4Spray or butter your crock (I use one of the crockpot liners, easier cleanup). Pour mixture into the crockpot. Cook 1 hour on HIGH and 1 hour on LOW. DO NOT STIR!!
