Two words....delicious and very creamy! This is a no fail mac and cheese that serves a crowd! Everyone wants the recipe.

Ingredients

  • c
    whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter (1/2 stick) cut into pieces
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 103/4 oz
    can of cheddar cheese soup
  • 3 eggs
    beaten
  • 2 1/2
    grated sharp cheddar cheese (10 ounces)
  • 2 c
    uncooked elbow macaroni (an 8 ounce box is not quite 2 cups)
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper

How to Make Creamy Crockpot Mac and Cheese

Step-by-Step

  1. Boil the macaroni in a 2 quart saucepan until tender, about 7 minutes and drain well.
  2. In a medium saucepan mix butter and cheese and stir until cheese melts. Combine cheese/butter mixture, sour cream, cheddar cheese soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper and stir well.
  3. Add eggs and drained macaroni and stir again.
  4. Set the slow cooker (at least a 4-5 quart crock pot or halve the ingredients and use a 3 quart) on low setting and cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
