Ingredients For creamy crockpot mac and cheese

  • c
    whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter (1/2 stick) cut into pieces
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 103/4 oz
    can of cheddar cheese soup
  • 3 eggs
    beaten
  • 2 1/2
    grated sharp cheddar cheese (10 ounces)
  • 2 c
    uncooked elbow macaroni (an 8 ounce box is not quite 2 cups)
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper

How To Make creamy crockpot mac and cheese

    Boil the macaroni in a 2 quart saucepan until tender, about 7 minutes and drain well.

    In a medium saucepan mix butter and cheese and stir until cheese melts. Combine cheese/butter mixture, sour cream, cheddar cheese soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper and stir well.

    Add eggs and drained macaroni and stir again.

    Set the slow cooker (at least a 4-5 quart crock pot or halve the ingredients and use a 3 quart) on low setting and cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
