Ingredients
- 1 cup elbow macaroni, cooked
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
- 8 ounces block, sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
How To Make classic baked mac n cheez

Step 1Prepare pasta according to pkg directions. Keep warm.

Step 2Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 3Melt butter in large sauce pan over medium heat.

Step 4Whisk in flour until smooth. Cook, whisking constantly for 2 mins.

Step 5Gradually add in milk and continue to whisk constantly. (cook for about 5 mins or until thickened).

Step 6Remove from heat. Stir in salt,peppers, 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese and cooked pasta.

Step 7Stir well. Spoon pasta mixture into a lightly greased baking dish.

Step 8Top with remaining cheese.

Step 9Bake for 20 mins or until bubbly. Let stand for 10 mins before serving.
