I know that most cooks have a favorite mac 'n cheese recipe. This one is mine. I like the ease of stove top cooking and how fast this dish can be "whipped-up". This is my personal favorite cheese combination. YUMMY!!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups macaroni
  • 1 cup sharp new york cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup sharp american cheese, grated ( not the wrapped slices stuff) choose a good quality american cheese
  • 1/2 cup swiss cheese, grated
  • - salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make best mac 'n cheese this side of the mississippi

  • Step 1
    Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, grate the cheeses and mix them together.
  • Step 3
    Drain cooked macaroni and place back in cooking pot. Mix in cheeses, salt, and pepper; stirring until cheese is melted (may place pot on low heat to speed up melting if desired).
